About Amar Durga Puja
As we all know that Durga Puja is one of the most awaited festival in West Bengal but because of it’s geographical restriction people in the other part of the world can only read about it or view photos only once the event is over. WE, at FOURDY group, decided to make an attempt to take Durga Puja to the world by organising a competition based on Durga Puja.
After a lot of thinking the only way we could do it was through the most powerful medium of today, the internet. This is when we decided to create ADP. ADP is a platform for the users to share their thoughts, photo and more about Durga Puja just when they are amidst the celebration.
For this purpose we launched this website solely dedicated to the theme Durga Puja where photos of puja happening at various places can be uploaded by the users. All the uploaded photos will be listed in our gallery section which could be viewed through out the world on internet. Just beyond viewing the general users visiting the site also have some other features such as:
- Commenting on the photo and
- Rating the photo
What happens next?
After the photo is uploaded and the users have either commented or rated them, WE plan to give away prizes to the following category:
- The Best Rated Photo
- The Most Viewed Photo
- The Top Contributor
By now you must have definitely learnt that Amar Durga Puja Aka ADP is a good time opportunity to upload photos of Durga Puja happening in and around you to win away prizes. The competition is scheduled to commence on 24th September, 2009. Be prepaared to list your photos in our gallery, get them the maximum views or votes, upload the most number of photos and become a winner of ADP 2009.
